Death on TF-1 in Adeje: Driver hit during damage assessment

A 43-year-old man died on Tuesday at 21:00 on the TF-1 in Adeje on Tenerife. He was struck by a second van while assessing damage from an earlier collision.

The incident occurred at 21:00 at kilometre 82.1 of the autopista del Sur (TF-1) in the municipality of Adeje on Tenerife. A car driver collided with a van and then with a motorcycle. All participants were travelling towards Santa Cruz.

The driver exited the vehicle to assess the damage. He was struck by a second van at that moment. The force of the impact threw him off the road surface, approximately 20 metres deep. The victim was found by firefighters from the base in Guía de Isora. The driver was 43 years old and Spanish (J.O.M.M.).

Traffic is restricted by the road police (Guardia Civil de Tráfico). It is not yet known if there will be further lane closures.
