Port Santa Cruz: Taxis may lose access to the quay from 4 October

Nogal threatens to deny taxis entry to the southern quay in Santa Cruz de Tenerife from 4 October if they do not provide documents. The La Gremial association demands explanations.

From Sunday 4 October, the company Nogal, the concessionaire for taxis in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, communicates via WhatsApp that it will not authorise entry to the quay for licences that do not provide a photograph of the identity document (DNI), a valid insurance policy, and a transport card.

The La Gremial del Taxi association demands explanations from Autoridad Portuaria (Portu) and the company Nogal. The president of the association, Zebenzui Pérez, emphasises that only Portu has the right to block access, and the concessionaire company cannot do this. The association considers that the request for personal data violates the right to work and the right to personal data protection.
